Shopping
Most shops are closed on Sunday afternoon and Monday. In order of distance:
Saint Claud (10min): butcher, bakery, newsagent, local shop, pharmacy
Chasseneuil (20min): Intermarché, Lidl, very good butcher (La Bouche Rit), wine shop, DIY
La Rochefoucauld (30min): shopping centre with Leclerc, Brico, garden centre and many boutiques in the city centre

Living like God in France
Splashing and romping in the pool, relaxing in the garden, reading on the covered terrace, resting and enjoying the sun or a short walk to the river La Sonnette to paddle: everything is there to enjoy the peace! There is also a comfortable mezzanine with books, multimedia and board games.

France without markets is not France.
Every day there is a market somewhere:
Saint-Claud: every Friday
Chasseneuil-sur-Bonnieure: every Wednesday and Saturday
Piégut-Pluviers in the Dordogne (46km): large market every Wednesday (+250 stalls)

Water sports on the Lacs and Plan d'eau
In the Lacs du Haute-Charente ( 35km to Plage de Guerlie ) you have many water sports (swimming, sailing, canoeing, catamaran sailing, SUP), you can go fishing and there is an adventure park .
A little closer you have the Plan d'Eau Prés de Peyras ( 18km, 22 min. ), swimming, SUP, pedaloing, fishing... there are 2 lakes: small for children with lifeguard supervision and next to it a lake with an island

Brocante markets are popular in France. They are a place where collectors and lovers of antiques and vintage objects meet to buy and sell.
